New Washer And Dryer

My new washer and dryer was installed a few weeks ago! I can’t believe I’ve been a homeowner for year! My old washer and dryer came with our condo and they were at least 20 years old. They were very tiny and I believe only 3.2 cu. ft. I wanted to upgrade because I could only wash so many blankets at a time and I also felt like I was doing more loads because of the size of the tub.

Weeks before Black Friday, I found a few washers that I wanted. At first, I wasn’t set on a specific brand, I was mainly looking at prices. However, Samsung really caught my eye. I’ve had a Samsung washer and dryer before. I loved my set, however, I knew this time around I didn’t want a front loading washer! I also hated that we had to move and were unable to take our set with us.

First Visit With Santa

I’ve been making the time and effort to be more involved with my son’s class. A few months ago, I chaperoned his first field trip ever and he’s in 8th grade. His second field trip of the year was just a few days ago and it was his first visit with Santa!

Our First Christmas Tree

I’ve never had a Christmas tree in all of my adult life. However, now that I’m a homeowner and a single mom, I thought it is the perfect time to start my own little traditions! This is our second Christmas in our new home! It is time to decorate with our first Christmas tree!

I recently started volunteering in my son’s class. It’s been so fulfilling, great experience, and gets me out of the house. I get to observe and listen to how they are teaching my son. Finding a new purpose through volunteering helps me feel good but also help his teachers and classroom!

The Tinder Date That Wouldn’t Leave

This past weekend, I had a date with someone I was talking to for about a week. We made plans for Sunday. He had plans for Saturday and even mentioned he wished he could reverse his plans (and have our date on Saturday instead). As it turns out, his Saturday plans canceled on him. Tinder is a dating app. It’s pretty much like “looking through a catalog” and swiping right or left on people. I didn’t really use the swipe feature. Instead, at the bottom of my screen, they have a red X or a green heart, so I used the icons rather than swipe.
