Welcome to Mamahearted! I am on a new path to finding a new purpose. I am so excited to start this new venture. I’m not new to blogging, but this is a new project! I’ve been blogging since 2003 or so. I started writing on those free blogging sites. Throughout the years, I started blogs here and there and settled on Beauty Brite, my main blog. I also had a personal blog that I would publish on here and there. I am starting a new journey with this blog! I hope you follow along on my journey!

I recently started volunteering in my son’s class. It’s been so fulfilling, great experience, and gets me out of the house. I get to observe and listen to how they are teaching my son. Finding a new purpose through volunteering helps me feel good but also help his teachers and classroom!
Finding a new purpose

I’ve been helping with various art projects, organizing, prepping supplies, etc. One of the art projects was making Holly! The students cut out the leaves and berries and even glued them together (with help from the adults). It was so amazing to see my son cut out the pieces and glue them together.
As I mentioned on my About page, I tend to overextend myself. I like to stay busy. I’ve been going through a lot in the last two years as a single mom. I know I try to stay busy, stay positive, and recently started changing my routine.

Before I started volunteering, I tried being a Foster Dog Mom. After a few weeks, I realized it was too much for our household. It also made me appreciate our own unique needs. Instead of caring for a pet, I am choosing to put my son first and make him the priority. It was a great learning experience caring for a foster dog.
What lead me to wanting to be a foster dog mom was that I was trying to fill a part of my heart that was hurting and empty. Since then, I have found peace with that of my life. After my experience as a foster home for a dog, I realized it took too much time and energy from our lives. My focus is my son and I’m glad I went through such an experience.

Not only am I volunteering in his classroom, I am also chaperoning his field trips whenever I can. I already went on one field trip and it was so much fun watching my son have so much fun! Of course, as a mom, I took a ton of pictures.
In addition, I am launching yet another blog with a group of amazing people! We all have one big hobby in common: houseplants! We help run Houseplant Addicts! Our network includes 4 groups and one Facebook fan page!
In my journey to find a new purpose, I also wanted to start a new blog, this one: Mamahearted! Thank you for visiting and be sure to subscribe to our newsletter!
