There are rare times when I need to make lunch for my son to bring to school. It is usually because he’s going on a field trip. There are other times when I want a quick sandwich after running errands and getting home exhausted and hungry! I recently made a batch of Homemade Uncrustables!

For the last few months, I feel like our lives have been non-stop with running around to doctor’s appointments, dentist appointments, and speech therapy.
Since I’m a single mom and homeowner, we live very frugally! There are times when we have a therapy appointment or a doctor’s appointment before school. I tend to make a whole trip out of it to be more efficient. After dropping my son off at school, I like to stop at the dollar store to pick up anything we may need. Instead of stopping to buy lunch, I can now wait until I get home and have a sandwich and snacks. I also have the option to grab a few Uncrustables and keep them with me!
I like carrying snacks and water with us, especially if I know we’ll be gone for a few hours!

I also make Uncrustables for my son’s lunch when needed! You can also bake up a batch of our Levain Bakery Copycat Chocolate Chip Cookies to pack with lunch!
For Homemade Uncrustables, it is best to use an entire loaf of bread! This way, you have plenty of Uncrustables for the week! Put them in zipped freezer plastic baggies and store them in the freezer!
The handy dandy Sandwich Press can be purchased on Amazon!
