Our Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are an easy and delicious treat! If you like the combination of chocolate and peanut butter like I do, you’ll love these cookies! This is a peanut butter cookie recipe with cocoa powder added! What a yummy twist!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients



- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup cream peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions



In a mixing bowl, mix together the peanut butter, shortening, egg, vanilla, brown sugar & milk.



In a separate bowl mix cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, & salt.



Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix well.



Scoop tablespoon sized balls onto a nonstick baking sheet or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.



With a spoon, slightly flatten each ball.
Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.



Transfer to a cooling rack.
Use a fork to make the cookie lines.
Serve & enjoy!

Homemade peanut butter cookies have been my favorite since childhood when Mom let us kids roll out the balls and press them with a fork. Adding chocolate is a no-brainer (that I never even considered). LOL. Trying this as soon as I can gather the ingredients.
