Reduce and Reuse
Let’s talk about Reusable Grocery Bags! I live in California where single use plastic bags are banned. I don’t know about you but I’m a single mom on a fixed income. Plus, I’m too cheap to buy plastic bags at checkout!
I have been using reusable bags for years and now that I’m back in California, I use them all the time.
I always try to carry a big tote bag when we have plans to run errands. I want to have a bag available just in case I stop at the store!
The Reusable Grocery Bags are colorful and stylish! However, the bags are too wide for the shopping cart. Instead, I just remove the rods. I can still utilize the bags!
I love that the Reusable Grocery Bags are washable as my current reusable bags are not! Think of all those germs that are on your reusable bags!
The Reusable Grocery Bags are not only eco-friendly but have multi-uses! I have used them as a mesh bag for my delicates in the laundry, carry my beauty products when on-the-go, and more!
The Reusable Grocery Bags come in handy at the store! I no longer have to use a plastic produce bag, which is such a waste since I throw them away once I get home! Sometimes I save them hoping to reuse them, but they just gather and then I end up throwing them away.
Reduce Plastic
I can never have enough water bottles. I don’t buy bottled water for many reasons. They are wasteful and they are too heavy to carry home from the store!
When we are headed out, I like to carry water with me. I also keep water with me at home as I drink water throughout the day! The bottles are lightweight, so I can easily carry one with me throughout the day!
The Blender Bottle Strada are so handy! The colors are cute and perfect for everyone! I chose the white and purple bottles! I love the lock feature on the lid.
Since these are Blender Bottle Strada, I can easily mix in my favorite flavor mix and shake! When it comes to Blender Bottle Strada, I don’t have to worry about it leaking. I have another reusable bottle and it leaked in my bag! Thankfully, I caught it early because I was on a field trip with my son!
Reduce and Reuse
I love the Minnie Wet Bag, not only for the cute design but for the versatility. I use it when I am out and about. I can easily use it as a bag to hold my essentials in my tote bag. The bag will come in handy when we are on field trips and I need to separate clothing from the rest.
Overall, the Minnie Wet Bag is stylish without revealing when you are carrying inside! When I carry the Minnie Wet Bag, it saves me from using a plastic bag! This is a reusable and sustainable way to do good for the earth!
Reuse
When it comes to the weather, I like to be prepared. When my son and I first moved into our new home, I remember having to scramble to buy umbrellas before the rain. I wanted us to be prepared because we have to wait outside for his school bus.
We were sent two beautiful and unique umbrellas from La Bella Umbrella! Stay dry in style! I chose the Sunflower and Van Gogh Starry Night umbrellas! They both come equipped with a carrying clip!
The carrying clip comes in handy when I need to take an umbrella with us, I can easily clip it to my tote bag or backpack!
Reduce Chemicals
Have you tried natural deodorant? I switched my son and I completely over to natural deodorant last year. It wasn’t until I had to buy deodorant for him to take to school, that I realized that I should be using natural products with him too!
While I didn’t receive any of the SmartyPits scents I wanted, they included a nice variety! I was sent 2 sensitive skin and 2 super strength deodorant. I have my son using the sensitive skin formula because I don’t know how his skin will react. I am using the super strength.
I’m not sure how I feel about the plastic-free container. Yes, it’s great for the environment, however the SmartyPits deodorant stick doesn’t stay in place! Just a little bit of pressure and the deodorant stick slides back to the bottom of the container. Also, we can’t risk the container getting wet! The plastic-free container doesn’t seem suitable for every lifestyle, especially ours.
SmartyPits deodorant is easy to apply. Natural deodorant is perfect for us to use because you only need a few swipes. In the long run, I spend less on natural deodorant, it is gentle on our skin, and keeps us smelling and feeling fresh. Although, the only thing I don’t like about natural deodorant is that it doesn’t prevent me from sweating. Other than that, I choose natural products over anything else.
