I love using natural cleaner around the home. I’ve made natural homemade cleaners using baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and vinegar. I am always looking for ways to clean around the home that is effective and works! I recently made my own batch of homemade lemon vinegar cleaner!
I was given 4 homegrown lemons and I had no idea how to use them, food wise. I could have easily used them in my water. But they just sat on my counter for weeks. Finally, I didn’t want to throw them away, so I looked for ways to clean around the home with lemons!
I personally had 4 lemons. It really doesn’t matter how many lemons you use. If you have an extra lemon, use it! I just happen to have 4 lemons that I didn’t want to throw away! Since I love eco-friendly and natural cleaning products, I decided to make my own batch!
Not only can you use the homemade lemon vinegar cleaner to clean your windows, but you can clean just about any hard surface in your home! Please note: this cleaner is not safe for all surfaces, marble and granite countertops as it can scratch the surface!
I was so excited to try the cleaner, that I quickly cleaned my bathroom mirrors! They were blurry and foggy looking. The homemade lemon vinegar cleaner may be cheaper than using my hydrogen peroxide to clean my mirrors! However, if you have hydrogen peroxide on hand, this is a very effective and affordable option to clean your mirrors with!
Homemade Lemon Vinegar Cleaner
2-3 Jars with lids
Cut up your lemons. Be sure to cute them small enough to fit through your glass jars.
Throw your sliced lemons into your jars.
Pour enough white vinegar into your jars. Make sure your jars are filled enough to cover the lemons. Place the lids on your jars and leave them alone for about 2 weeks.
After waiting two weeks, carefully strain lemons.
Dilute your mixture with water. I diluted about 50/50.
Add mixture to your spray bottle.
The Homemade Lemon Vinegar Cleaner can be used to clean your showers, tubs, floors, and around your kitchen! I don’t have a mop, so I tend to grab a bucket and microfiber cloth and quickly clean my floors! When I want to deep clean my floors, I use my favorite steam cleaner called the Shark Steam Cleaner. I grab my spray bottle of Homemade Lemon Vinegar Cleaner and spray on my floors and then use my steam cleaner for added clean!
