Almost 2 months ago, we adopted our dog! Everything was going great and then reality set in. We had our first vet appointment and the first (of what would be many) bill! She needed vaccinations. Just that visit was over $100! After that, I decided I couldn’t afford a dog. I re-homed the dog!

We had an eventful weekend. I re-homed the dog this past weekend.
About a month into having the dog, I realized I couldn’t keep her.
While she was a rescue dog, I knew I she needed a loving home. I couldn’t devote the time for her as I need to focus on other things.
She was a lot of work. While she was sweet with my son and myself, she was very barky barky with people and animals! Even taking her for a short walk at the park or around our gated community, she would bark at everyone!

I needed to find her a new home. She just didn’t fit into our lifestyle! I dreamed of having a playful, fun, and friendly dog to take with me on my walks. She was not it at all.
I found a site that helps pet owners find new homes for their pets. I received many applications.
I found a woman who was quite far (an hour and a half away). She was perfect. She was familiar with pets too! She wasn’t worried about my concerns either.
She couldn’t come meet our dog for about 3 weeks! She wanted to make sure she had plenty of time off to spend with her when she brought her home.

Freya loved her! I was so relieved she didn’t scare the woman away with her barking! Freya didn’t bark at all either!
Freya is now with her new mom in her new home! Freya needs her own home and yard to play in and I couldn’t provide that.
The lady was so excited and Freya has a new loving home!
I already have enough on my plate being a single mom. I am also trying to focus on my son’s distance learning as well! The dog was a lot of work.
Now that we are a dog-free home, I took the time deep cleaned the carpet and got rid of all her stuff. I am trying to keep my home as clean as I can manage!
I also kept her pet food storage containers and will be using them to store my potting soil for my houseplants! They are actually such a clever way to use the containers, they have wheels, they close and lock tight, and they include a scoop!
