Today marks my Byte Journey Round 2: Day 1!
Back in August, I first started my first Byte journey. I went a few days wearing my aligners and they hurt like heck! Not only that, they hurt the inside of my mouth as the liners felt sharp in some areas! Not only that, they didn’t seem to fit all the way down my teeth!

The first time around, my liners felt extremely tight on my teeth and were so difficult to remove when I needed to. So much so, I was worried I’d pull out my teeth! After almost a week, I contacted customer service about the issue of the aligners not fitting all the way down. They asked for pictures and I sent them a few.
They said they wanted me to take additional impressions of my teeth. As soon as I received my impression kit, I made my impressions and sent them back as soon as I could. Unfortunately, none of the impressions came out correctly.
This happened a few times. I believe I had to make 4 more impressions of my teeth, each time coming back needing new impressions. After that, I was fedup! I told them that the trays were way too big for my mouth. They were sending me the smallest trays they had and they still felt way too big.
The 5th time was the last time. They also sent me tips on how to take the best impressions. I realized I wasn’t biting down all the way. The previous times, I was always biting halfway through!
Well, in early October, I finally received the good news that my impressions were accepted!
I received my byte aligners today and they are now in my mouth!
Between all that time, I did ask to switch to their night plan because the aligners hurt so much! I was told I could not be switched!
I’ve had my byte aligners in for a short time and they don’t feel as tight or uncomfortable as they did the first time around!
Also, with my new set of byte aligners, I only require 13 weeks of treatment. My previous set had 15 weeks!
While trying to get all my impressions perfect, I was really reconsidering my byte decision! Is it really worth all this hassle?
So far, I am happy with new aligners, even though it’s been a short time. I can’t wait for straighter teeth!
